Josh got off to a rough start on Thursday. After the short program he was in sixth place as the youngest competitor in the Junior Men's field with 46.75.
Determined to do better in the long, he took the ice on Saturday, skating to a modified version of his Novice long program. He was able to regroup, and ended up posting his personal best score of 114.58 to take 1st in the long.
He finished 2nd behind Daisuke Murakami of Japan, with a total score of 161.33.
Not bad for an International and Junior debut!
